Our Electrical Services – Fast, Reliable, and Fully Compliant

1. Installation Work:
   a) All electrical installation work will comply with BS 7671:2026 (Amendment 4) and any amendments in force at the time of the works.
   b) All electrical installation work will comply with applicable Building Regulations in force at the time of the works.
   c) Where work involves extending or modifying existing circuits, the costs quoted assume that the existing installation is in adequate condition and complies with current minimum regulations. Any additional work required to bring relevant parts of the installation up to standard will incur additional costs.
   d) Unless stated otherwise, all cabling will be concealed within the building fabric (e.g. chased into walls, within voids, or under floors). Where this is impracticable, cabling will be neatly surface-mounted using clips or contained within trunking or conduit.
   e) Where carpets or floor coverings require lifting to allow concealed installation work, no charge will be made for lifting and refitting. All reasonable care will be taken to avoid damage and to refit coverings to an acceptable standard. However, the use of a specialist fitter may be advisable (at the client’s expense) to achieve a fully satisfactory finish.
   f) Where agreed in advance, wall chases will be refilled to within 2mm of the finished plaster depth. Final skim plastering and decoration are excluded unless otherwise agreed.
   g) All reasonable steps will be taken to maintain a clean working environment, including the use of dust sheets and vacuum equipment. A basic “builder’s clean” will be carried out upon completion.
   h) The contract will outline the expected duration of the installation work.
   i) The client must provide access to water, electricity, and toilet facilities free of charge for the duration of the works.

2. Exclusions:
   a) The clearing or moving of furniture or other items obstructing access to work areas is not included.
   b) Except where specifically detailed, builder’s work (e.g. holes larger than 50mm diameter or the creation of support structures) is not included, except as outlined in Sections 1(d), 1(e), and 1(f).
   c) Redecoration and final finishing are excluded unless specifically stated.
   d) Removal and disposal of rubble, fittings, wiring, materials, general waste, and packaging are not included.

3. Extras and Variations:
   a) All extras and variations must be agreed in writing prior to commencement.

4. Pricing:
   a) All quoted costs assume continuous and reasonable access to the site by prior arrangement.
   b) Unless stated otherwise, quotes are based on standard working hours of 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. Work outside these hours may incur additional charges and will not be undertaken without prior client approval.
   c) Additional work not included in the quotation will be charged at £65.00 per hour plus materials.
   d) All prices are subject to VAT.
   e) Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

5. Compliance and Deviations:
   a) All work will be carried out in accordance with applicable Building Regulations and BS 7671, including compliance with Part P where relevant.
   b) Any requested deviation from these regulations must be provided in writing and formally recorded.

6. Risk and Title:
   a) Risk in all goods passes to the client upon delivery.
   b) Ownership of all goods remains with ALElectrical until full payment has been received.

7. Warranty:
   a) ALElectrical guarantees its installation work to be free from defects for a period of 12 months from the invoice date.
   b) This warranty does not cover goods not supplied by ALElectrical, physical damage, or any alterations or interference by third parties after installation.

8. Payment:
   a) Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is due upon completion of the works.
   b) For projects exceeding 10 working days, stage payments may be required by prior agreement. ALElectrical reserves the right to request such payments where necessary.
   c) Payments not received within 7 days of the invoice date may incur a late fee of 15% of the outstanding balance or £100 (whichever is greater).
   d) Certification, test results, and documentation will only be issued once full payment has been received and cleared.

9. Booking Fee and Cancellations:
   a) A non-refundable booking fee of 10% is required for works lasting more than one full working day. Bookings are not confirmed until this fee is received.
   b) Cancellation or rescheduling requires a minimum notice period equal to twice the duration of the scheduled works (e.g. 2 days’ notice for a 1-day job).
   c) Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the booking fee being retained.
   d) Where cancellation occurs with less notice than the duration of the job (e.g. less than 1 day for a 1-day job), ALElectrical reserves the right to charge an additional 15% of the total quoted price.

10. Dispute Resolution:
    a) In the event of a dispute, mediation will be the preferred method of resolution.
